Sunday
Today Cheeky Charlie, our Christmas Elf, arrived somewhat late! The kids were both delighted and surprised to find him caught in the rigging.
We walked over to the small stony beach next to the marina and collected driftwood for our model boat making project at Mondays Craft session.
Later on we went to the a "Christmas Gluhwein Concert" put on by some of the fabulous musicians who are part of the liveaboard community at Ragusa. I, along with some of the other parents, went along with some trepidation to the concert as we had been repeatedly asked during the morning net to ensure kids had something "quiet" to play with in case they got bored. Kids were under strict instructions to be quiet and listen nicely to the wonderful music. All were doing pretty well when we were told there was just one piece left before we had a break for food. Relief!.... until we realised the piece was 20 minutes long! The kids did really well even if I needed to ask AJ to drum more quietly on his chair to Sonatina Opus 100 for violin and piano! After the music we all enjoyed lovely "pot luck" snacks with our Gluhwein before a little more music where the kids got the opportunity to join in!
Monday
Boat school as usual, except this time with a little help!
Then off to the meeting room after lunch to make model boats. AJ and I had great fun building a trimaran which we then raced against others in the marina and won a prize.
All too soon it was time to take some last pictures of Ragusa before packing up ready for our trip back to the UK for Christmas.
