Day 36: 18/07/17 Finally we have the SIM card - Last day in Paris

It would have been nice to do something momentous on our last day in Paris but we were so jaded by the endless running around after the post that we didn't have the energy. Another 2 mile round trip this morning in the heat yielded the information that the letter was on it's way to the marina. We decided to do boatschool in the air conditioned yachtsman's lounge while we stayed on hand to sign for the letter if needed.

Boatschool started well with me working with AJ on maths and Patrick working on The Rabbit Problem with Esmé.

This really captured her attention as we modelled the maths in it using counters. During the morning the SIM card arrived and we finally have mobile data again. After a brief playtime at the park for AJ and on the piano for Esmé it was slow going starting work again but eventually both kids did play ball even if it did take the threat of no lunch until we were finished to achieve this.

This afternoon the rest of the family chilled out while I got the sewing out again to make black out curtains for the main and forward cabin hatches. I made an inside one and an outside one to see which works best. We'll live with them for a while to figure it out.

Too hot to cook so we had a cold evening meal before a quick play at the park and then showers. Saw a young English family we had seen in Rouen so we donated our old Duplo to them as despite not wanting to part with it when we were ebaying stuff in England, the kids have never played with it on the journey, preferring smaller lego now.

So, all paid up at the marina and ready to be on our way first lock tomorrow morning. Bye Bye Paris!
